Well, there you go.... I don't think I really need to say anything else.... except for once.... I didn't have the quads! But unfortunately, I didn't have the straight flush either.... The hand started off innocent enough....
Bill T's hand
Both hands.... pre-flop monsters in O8 No Limit! I don't know how they didn't get all their chips in the middle pre-flop. Do you?
Since I wasn't paying much attention to the beginning of the hand, I can't tell you if there was a straddle or not and a raise or not, but since it is at the Juice's game.... let's assume so.
Here comes the flop.....
Big Dave has flopped a monster! Trip sixes with an Ace kicker.... Now how do you get the most value from your hand... I know.... check!
The turn.....
Oh baby... quads! Nice... but Dave is not going to get paid unless someone catches something.... bet? check? bet? check?.... Oh.... ok, check!
The river.....
Both guys with sizeable stacks in front of them and Dave makes a pot sized bet of, let's say $150 or so.... Bill T raises it another $150! Dean raises it $300 and Bill T quickly moves all in and Dave calls and turns over 2nd nut only to find out that there really is a 1st nut and Bill T is sporting it.....
Quads losing to the straight flush!
Is there a lesson to be learned from this? I think so, but what are the odds.... in this game, with these $$, with this dealer.... yep, the odds of getting screwed are about 100% that the old two outer is coming!
Do I need to say it?
Let the suck outs begin!

First, a correction - it was Big Dave, not Dean-O, that had the quads. Second, I believe Dave played the hand so poorly that the almighty poker gods brought that straight-flush card as a punishment/lesson.
I completely disagree with Charles' assessment that Dave flopped a monster. At this point all Dave has is trips with top kicker. Almost certainly the best hand at this point, of course, but nowhere near worthy of a slow-play. Every single card in the deck but one makes a low, flush, straight, quad fours or a bigger boat possible. With two to the low, straight and flush out there, by not betting you are all but begging to be drawn out on, at the very least for half the pot. The only low draw Dave has is some runner-runner cheese that will most likely be no good even if it does come.
Still, he gets away with checking the flop, and gets literally the one card in the deck that guarantees he has the best hand on the turn. At this point you just have to thank your lucky stars and make the draws pay to see a river. It's at this point you realize another drawback to not betting the flop: there's not enough money in the pot to where you can make a nice-sized bet to either A) Take down the pot, or B) Get proper value for your hand.
But Dave make another error (unfortunately this one was fatal) and checks the turn as well. He tried to get a little too tricky and it bit him on the butt. As we all know, whatever card can f*ck you the worst is going to come.
This hand is a perfect example of one of the Golden Rules of Poker: It's better to win a small pot than lose a big one. Especially when it's not necessary to lose the big one.
Dave shouldn't let it get him down though. All of us make mistakes, and we poker players tend not to learn from the cheap ones. I get the feeling that this will be a lesson learned.

Dang dude... look up sarcasm!
I think that if Charles had any Idea that playing on vicodin would help us like him better, and would help him play better, then he would take heroin just to spite us. Did I say I have the needle Charles? The pain is getting to much!
Considering that your idea of an "absolute monster flop" in O8 is top pair and the nut-flush draw, one can only assume you'd be willing to go broke with trips. And I'm surprised you can even spell sarcasm, your computer must have a decent spell-check...
