Neteller

Tomorrow could be the beginning of Christmas in July at least for some of us. Neteller is supposed to be implementing their distribution plan for the return of funds to US players. US players should be able to login and request withdrawals beginning tomorrow. According to this interview

http://www.roundersradio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=762

from a few days ago with a Neteller VP the money is in one of their bank accounts in the US now and ready to be transferred back to US players. The process by EFT is supposed to only take a few days. This is probably overly optimistic as their may very well be problems with a massive number of players making withdrawals. Anyway this appears to potentially be a very good thing for those of us owed a significant amount of money by Neteller as well as a good thing for the poker economy in general. Quite a bit of the $94 million owed to US players should find it's way back into the online games some of which are in need of an influx of fresh cash. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for no more bad beats from Neteller.

Good to hear that for you. What do you think about epassporte? I tried MyWebATM for fulltilt and was greatly dissappointed. I only tried epassporte once but never tried to get the card for long term use.

I use Epassporte as one of several methods now. I used to use neteller exclusively before the debacle this past January. Before then I used Firepay for a while.

I have used Epassporte and haven't had any problems with them but I wouldn't rely on them to much. I would only transfer small amounts (under $1k) and I wouldn't leave unused money in Epassporte or any e-wallet for that matter.

One good thing that Epassporte has in their favor is they have been used exclusively by poker sites and not online casinos or especially sportsbooks. The online sportsbooks or those facilitating the funding of them have borne the brunt of attaks by the government. Most of the the other payment processors have allowed sportsbooks to use them but not Epassporte so that's good.

The bad thing is Epassporte is a US based company so they could be even more vulnerable than many of the other e-wallets if the govt. decided to crack down hard on companies used to fund poker accounts.

I have no experience with MyWebATM but I haven't heard particularly good things about them. I would suggest using money gram or western union though. I have used both with no problem. Money Gram is cheaper and accepted by alot of the sites. I keep alot online probably more than I should but I use alot not only for play but I also run a rakeback site (www.pokerrakerewards.com), so I have to transfer a lot of money to other players so I try to keep up on deposit/withdrawal methods at most of the major sites.

I just wouldn't leave a large amount in any e-wallet right now due to the regulartory uncertainty and the possibility of prosecution. As long as you are dealing with a major site like Full Tilt, PokerStars, Ultimate Bet, etc. I would rather have excess funds there rather than an e-wallet.
