75 Charged In Gambling Raid

BENSON, N.C. - Several dozen people were arrested in a gambling raid in Johnston County Saturday, police said.
At least 75 people have been charged after a raid on a building on Bear Road, near N.C. 242 just south of Benson, according to the Johnston County Sheriff's Office.
The N.C. Alcohol Law Enforcement executed a search warrant with help by the sheriff's office Saturday after learning about the gambling operation, said Johnston County Sheriff Steve Bizzell.
He said agents seized poker tables, roulette wheels and thousands of dollars in cash.
